Naturally I agree with your essential point (and I’m glad it proves what I originally thought and wrote about you in the forum). I think any reasonable blogger is flattered if something he wrote is mentioned elsewhere with proper crediting, and realizes that this is actually good for his blog. You just had the bad luck to stumble on a very peculiar personality (to put it mildly).

As far as I know, paper articles with mentioning the source and adding a link is very wanted by the journalists, it’s obvious.

Adding a link and mentioning the source is bringing traffic. Is this not what the bloggers want? In the dashboard you see all the ones they put yout articles in their blog and specified the source. So, it’s ok with the WordPress policy. zeynep saw we put her in our blog and started the “tornado in a glass of water”. but as you said I think it was solved in an elegant way and WordPress released my posting. ( they blocked it after the complaint)

nicolef42 (I prefer to answer here instead of the forum, so that we let that thread die and get buried as it deserves): The truth is that you shouldn’t have used zeynep’s post without her permission. To me, however, this was quite obviously an honest mistake that could have easily been settled in a more friendly manner - it does not make you a criminal, of course, and of course it does not justify zeynep’s going completely out of control.

Now this IS stealing: no reference to the original, no link, no nothing. Still, the person who complains did not flood that blog or the forum with ridiculous comments: just asked what to do.
